It's 2018 and a new blog name - Rachael's Happy Life!

Happy New Year 2018.

Another year clicked over while I was sleeping soundly in my comfy bed.  No hangover here thank goodness (I have had many, but not for the past 8 years or so YAY). 

I wonder what 2018 has in store for us this year?

Time will tell.....................

After a little bit of a thought process, I decided that I actually DID want to change the name of this blog, now in its 11 year! 

So much has changed in my life over the past 11 years.

Some bad things,

Some good things,

And some fantastic things.

The blog started off as Critter Cottage, then I changed it to Thrifty Cottage. 

But we don't really live in a cottage anymore (more like a big house) and I don't have as many critters as I did before (no chickens at this time).  While I am still thrifty, our goal is not to pay off our house anymore (because we have already done that).

So a name change was in order. 

This blog is about me and my family.  It is a record of goings on, so, when I am long gone, maybe one of the kids/grandkids will want to have a look??  If not, that is okay but I think I would have like to see what happened in the "olden days" if my parents/grandparents had a blog.

Rachael's Happy Life! 

I have a really happy life.  I'm very lucky.

Sure, life isn't always happy.  In fact I have had my fair share of sadness and despair.  I have suffered injustices and nastiness.  I have known true heartbreak.  I have seen things that will haunt me until the day I die.

But, I am happy to say that these things didn't break me (some came close) and I am still living a very happy life. 

This is a blog about ME, my family and my crazy life.
