It's getting cold now and we have had the fire on for quite a few nights. We had a heap of kindling thanks to one of Greg's friends taking down his fence and us scoring all the wood, but we were low on the "good" wood that burns all night - basically you add a log and it will burn all night, add another and it will burn all day - so you don't use a whole lot of wood but you stay warm. We had to buy some and get it delivered.
This will last us all winter I hope. There is more in the garage so I can just pop down there and grab a bit when needed. I love a wood fire - it is so warm and I can get all my washing dry when I put it on the racks that I have. The lounge looks like a Chinese laundry but I don't care (I have a LOT of laundry!).
I have some nice flowers at the front door when you walk in and I bought a cool little solar butterfly which flutters when the sun shines on the panel. It is SO cute and quite real too. It makes our cottage look quite cute when you come to the front door.
We bought a carport recently to put at the front of the house as I was always getting wet putting the kids in or out of the car when it rained. Greg put it up and did a fantastic job. It was a nigthmare - not good instructions with parts that sometimes didn't line up!!! Agggrrrhh I saw Greg at his most frustrated, he said never again will he put up a fancy carport like that again BUT he did the best job and it looks brilliant!!
On the weekend we went over to Mum and Dads new house. They moved in on Monday 28 May. They downsized from their other place, which was gorgeous but a lot of work in the garden, to this place. It is not as nice looking as their other place, but it is low maintenance and they can concentrate on travel and hobbies - golf & bingo. I think it is perfect for them! Of course I forgot to take pictures but here is one of the place from the REA.

I have made some new soap which is still in the mould so I will take some pictures and put them on here and on my Soaptastic Soap blog (which has been a bit neglected lately but I hope to rectify this soon).
Here are some photos of Michael, he is such a gorgeous little man.

Showing me his Lego tower (he loves building these)
