Where has the last month gone?

Goodness me - a month has gone by and no posting on the blog!  I'm so slack.

Things have been happening!

  • I had a lot of trouble with my phone so photos weren't easy to get.  Greg did some computer work for a friend and he got a new phone for me as "payment" - they had used it for a couple of days and didn't like it.  It was the upgrade from my old one.  It works brilliantly.
  • My second daughter has not had a sense of smell for years.  It has started impacting her over the past year or so.  We got it all checked out - specialist, had to go to Kings Cross in the city for a test, scan etc.  Sadly she has lost her sense of smell and there is nothing that can be done for it.  Thank goodness she can taste still.
  • The twins started their school prep class, 2x mornings per week.  It went well and I hope they enjoy it.

  • Michael had his swimming carnival and school introduction night.  He has settled back to school well.  Homework is in full swing now so we are busy every night with that.
  • My sister dropped off her 4 chickens to us.  They are moving soon and can't take them with them, so I have taken them.  There was a little bit of agro to start with but all seems to have settled down now.  We are getting lots of eggs.
  • My tomato plant is going well but fruit fly keeps getting into them so I haven't had any tomatoes yet because they have been spoiled by the bugs laid in them YUK.  I must check out how to get rid of it with a spray or something.  I have had a few lovely strawberries and my raspberry vine is going crazy!  It looks like I might have some raspberries forming!!!  Very excited!!  The blueberry bush is going well and has come back after one very hot day burnt the leaves on it and a lot of leaves died and fell off.

  • I have made some lovely tea towel toppers for gifts.  I gave my mum one for her birthday.  I do this at night as my stress release.
  • I have completed a parenting course related to children with special needs.  It was good and I got some good strategies from this.  I have also met with our Early Intervention worker, Jane, who is the most lovely person.  We have a few things with the twins that need to get sorted.

I have been doing a lot more but that is enough!

I helped with a fundraising BBQ for my multiple birth club on Saturday morning and then took the kids for a drive to Brooklyn and to a park for a lovely play in the afternoon.  We had hot chips and it was really nice.

Life is settling in at the moment.  By the end of Feb we should be well into our routine (and I "may"  have a bit more time - fingers crossed!).
