March Madness!

Hello again, hope you have been happy and well.

We have had a lot of things happening over here recently.

It was Jemma’s Birthday and we went to teppanyaki.  It was nice but the chef was a little disinterested so we wouldn't go back there again.  Jemma had a great day and got some wonderful gifts – she was very spoilt.

Here is the picture of the finished wheelbarrow.  I am very happy with how it turned out.  Amazing how a bit of paint can transform something ugly into something beautiful.

We had my nephew, Max’s 2ndBirthday and we went to a park in Newcastleto celebrate.  The boys all had great fun and Michael especially loved riding his scooter and climbing a big rope climbing “thing”.  Mummy and Daddy were VERY tired after that day as we did not stop running around after the boys all day.

Happy Birthday Max

Michael is continuing to attend Lifestart, speech therapy, swimming lessons and is doing extremely well.  We are so proud of him.
Big smiles

Pretending to be a superhero or someone like that!!!

We had Michael’s “big” assessment this month and it came back saying that Michael is mildly intellectually disabled.  We expected this, however for some reason this hit me particularly hard and I was/am quite sad.

Throughout the whole process of finding out that Michael had Fragile X Syndrome and then following through with all the medical appointments, therapy appointments, assessments, work to do at home plus looking after the twins and Jemma………….. well it takes it toll on you and this, for some reason, made me crumple…………….

But, then he gave me a big cuddle and kiss and I gave myself a big kick up the bum and felt a lot better.  How could I ever feel sorry for myself when I have the most fabulous family in the whole wide world……….. (even if we are a bit quirky!)
